After a PhD in Paris on interstellar chemistry of PAHs and their identification in galactic dusty spectra, Claire jumped into the very new field of exoplanets. She explored diverse observational methods starting with direct imaging, then transit photometry and ground-based high-resolution spectroscopy. She spent 3 years at ESO and 6 years at CFHT, Hawai’i to get closer to telescope operations and instrumental performance. At LAM in Marseille, she got involved in the pioneer mission CoRoT, in particular to characterize the mass of CoRoT planet candidates. Now at IRAP, Toulouse, she works on the characterization of the closest exoplanet systems around M stars.
